Course Breakfast, Sauce
Cuisine American
- ½ C Brown Sugar
- ⅓ C Cocoa Powder
- ½ C Chocolate (Chips, Discs, Or Chopped)
- 1 Pinch Salt
- Splash of Vanilla
- ½ Tsp Peppermint Extract
- ⅓ C Water (Hot)
- Milk
In a small pot over medium-low heat, add in all of the ingredients and mix until the chocolate dissolves and everything becomes a smooth sauce that is glossy and can act like a mirror. This should take about 5 to 8 minutes
Mix the Chocolate Sauce with hot milk in a cup.
Use moderate heat and keep an eye on the mixture when it is melting. Do not allow it to boil, as boiling the mixture can affect the chocolate.
The heat is to help bloom the cacao powder and meld everything together.
Adjust to taste
Boiling milk in a pot might make the milk curdle and just make everything messy if it boils over.
Use whatever Chocolate you want, I prefer Dark Chocolate, but DO NOT USE WHITE CHOCOLATE. Don't be a schmeck
