Roasted Sesame Sauce : Tahini

A super quick and easy creamy Tahini/Sesame Sauce that down right outclasses store bought versions, giving dishes and other sauces an opulent and aromatic feel.

Ingredients:

  • 1 C Sesame Seeds (untoasted)
  • 3 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 6 Cloves Garlic (optional)
  • ¼ Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • ¾ C Oil (add more or less)

Instructions
 

Procedure:

  • Evenly spread the sesame seeds on a baking tray, and toast at 350F 1-2 min or until it becomes a roasted golden color (keep an eye on it).
  • Blend sesame seeds with all of the other ingredients while slowly adding in the oil until silky smooth or desired texture. Add more or less oil depending on desired smoothness and consistency

Add more oil to make the sauce more smooth and thinner, add less oil to make the sauce thicker and richer
Sesame Seeds toast rather quickly because of their small size. So, keep an eye on them to prevent accidentally burning them.
